Enseñar fútbol a niños de 3 a 6 años.
En la Escuela de fútbol para niños no expertos y principiantes, si un docente, entrenador o simplemente un padre quiere enseñar a su hijo/a a jugar fútbol debe tener en cuenta qué edad tiene o tienen los futbolistas que va a enseñar.
Durante la etapa de crecimiento de un niño, existen varias condiciones en las que su cuerpo y mente son capaces de incrementar sus cualidades motrices.
Es muy importante reconocer esta circunstancia para evitar un entrenamiento demasiado complejo o muy simple.
- Niños 3 y 4 años
- Niños 5 y 7 años
- Niños 8 y 10 años
- Niños 11 y 14 años

En esta primera etapa, el entrenamiento de las capacidades motrices se debe tener en cuentas los diferentes estados en el crecimiento. A partir de los tres años, un niño podrá ejecutar con facilidad diversos movimientos motrices naturales como caminar, correr, reptar, lanzar, saltar, sostener y levantar objetos. La planificación de nuestras clases para los futbolistas inexpertos de 3 a 4 años se ajustan a estas acciones motrices, para incrementar su coordinación y de esta manera buscar que sus movimientos se aproximen a gestos deportivos naturales para que en el futuro todas las acciones propias del deporte puedan ser asimiladas. Incorporar juegos en nuestra planificación de las sesiones, nos permite desarrollar estas capacidades durante el entrenamiento. Al incorporar el juego lograremos que: mejoren en eficacia y eficiencia sus movimientos y que exploren de forma espontánea sus capacidades. El Objetivo primordial del entrenador debe ser el de fomentar la iniciativa del Baby futbolista. Planteando los juegos o ejercicios con cuestionamientos que ayuden que los niños adquieran iniciativa para lograr realizar lo que se les propone. Otra de los puntos es que un entrenador debe trabajar a esta edad, es que los niños reconozcan de su potencial para ejecutar movimientos con cada lado. Reconocer su lado dominante y hasta donde pueden llegar, es muy importante a esta edad por que aun no controlan la lateralidad (izquierda – derecha)
